What can I do to prepare my child for kindergarten? Every parent asks themselves this question when the reality of starting kindergarten is approaching.
In kindergarten your child will develop skills in many different areas, both academic and social behavioral. Going to kindergarten makes up a very small part of each day. The key to success is your participation at home.I’ve been on both sides of the kindergarten coin. I have helped two of my own boys through kindergarten, and I’m currently an instructor that works with kindergarteners who are lagging behind in reading, writing, math, social, and behavioral skills. Most, if not all, students have a skill they need to work on. No child enters school knowing everything.
I’m here to help you get your child as prepared as possible. This work won’t end on the first day of school, but it will continue throughout the school year. We’ll cover everything from classroom basics to the academic skills your child will need. Your child’s Social Emotional Learning will be just as important as their academic learning.
