Happy Monday to you all! Welcome to another Writing Myths Monday.
Myth # 4 – I must be inspired to write.
If that was the case there wouldn’t be a lot of writing going on. William Faulkner famously said, “I only write when I am inspired. Fortunately, I am inspired at 9 am every morning.” I love this quote. I discovered it early in my writing career. It’s true, we all have a writing cycle of productivity and rest. You just need to manage that cycle. But if you only wrote when you were “inspired” your writing output would suffer. Working with a schedule helps bring on the inspiration. You train your brain to click over to writing mode.
As always, please follow me on Instagram @beinglaurakmarshall , just for the fun of it.
Until next time, be happy, stay safe, and good writing vibes into the universe.
